Learn To Stop Before Wasting Your Time on Inefficient Activities

Ideas are great. And wanting to experiment with them makes you awesome. But your day has a limited number of hours.

So, use your time in a calculated manner.

Listen, My Earlier Approach of Guerrilla Productivity Drained Me

Yes. I have tried those random workflows. Indeed, I am being hypocritical in this post. But you need to avoid these mistakes.

Even if you have a hundred ideas, record them once.

Then, just stop.

Think for a moment. “Will this activity steal my time from me?” Ask this to your wise persona.

Better Activities Deserve Your Attention, Energy and Time

Also, each time you spend your time in an aimless style, you weaken yourself.

So, please reconsider before starting your impulsive adventures.

And I am not against the concept of brainstorming or trying the multiple perspectives. By all means, you have the right to indulge in these actions for your definition of happiness.

No need to force yourself to chase after the cash the entire day.

Still, a bit of thinking could stop you from feeling the guilt of poor decision-making.

What if, you could have used your time for something long-lasting?

What if, that time could have helped you create something meaningful?

You can learn new skills, start online services or rest a bit for freeing up your mind.

So, Pause For Thinking Before You Let Your Impulse Affect Your Energy Level

At this moment, you might question if the draining process applies to everyone. As per my observations, each person has a different level of stamina.

As a result, you find some people having a lot of energy to stay active throughout the week.

Yet, others who surround you would undergo the different phases of energy-drain as the work days progress.

In short, it is possible that I could have avoided a big decline in my energy and mood.

Special methods exist in this world to help you increase your stamina by a small margin.

Recharge Yourself And Discard The Low Priority Activities

You can take short breaks to recharge yourself. And a short power-nap can go a long way.

Still, you might wish to avoid sleeping at noon. Because this could become a habit.

Then, you can audit your daily routine.

For understanding which activities deserve your limited Work Capacity or Energy, identify the unnecessary or least important activities.

And erase them from your life.

I know that some low priority activities seem fun or joyful. But you can choose to enjoy them at the weekends, festivals or other holidays.

If you can adapt some form of the Recharging and Discarding style, you should have better Goal Completion Rate despite of having less stamina.

Battery Lasts Longer If You Avoid The Resource-Heavy Processes

This is a generalised analogy. So, please bear with me. You can increase the active time of your smartphone by avoiding the more complex programs.

In a same manner, you can dedicate an entire day to your most difficult activity or a complex set of steps in it.

It is another way of practicing DOTADIW principle.

Here, DOTADIW stands for Do One Thing And Do It Well.

Conclusion

All people have a varying amount of stamina. And you could use motivation or forced positivity for a while to pretend to have more energy.

But, I can assure you that you will experience an after-effect of misusing your Energy or Work Capacity.

This is not an attempt to discourage you from using some type of Multi-Tasking or Guerrilla Approach.

All I can share with you is this one last piece below.

“You have 24 hours in a day. And no amount of forced positivity or delusional mind-set can change this fact. Resecting your weaknesses is a major part of growing up as a person.

And you can call it an important part of Self-Acceptance Practices.

So, you should never feel terrible about admitting that your stamina might be low.

Forget punishing your good self. Take breaks. Cut down the low value activities. And have a glass of hot milk.

Because you deserve to recharge your body, mind and inner tranquillity.”
